About the Artist
John Magnoski
I'm grateful you're here.
I first experienced the wonder of nature when I was in the 8th grade. While visiting family in Montana I was tasked with taking photos for my father, who could not hike due to his poor heart. Gazing up at the towering peaks, I was overwhelmed with emotion - feeling insignificant yet significant all at once. At that moment, I knew I had to capture and share that feeling with others through the art of photography, and I have dedicated my life to photography ever since.
Whenever I am out photographing, I am reminded that in our chaotic lives, there are places of quiet contemplation where we can commune with the Almighty.
My work is meant to capture this sense of solitude and prayerful communion, with stillness and peace, allowing us to slow down for tranquil reflection.
With each print I make, I hope to fill you with the same sense of wonder and gratitude I experience every time I am in nature.
Based north of Minneapolis and St. Paul, I enjoy spending my free time exploring the outdoors with my high school sweetheart and beautiful wife, Heidi, and our nine adventurous children (yes, 9). We love attending the Traditional Latin Mass, eating quality pizza, renovating our old farmhouse, and playing around our little hobby farm. We don't have any chickens yet, but do have plenty of barn cats and other projects to keep us occupied. : )
As a homeschooling family, we value the simple things in life and are grateful that I can use my gifts to not only provide for my family, but as a blessing to others.
